The U.S. is made up of 3,132 counties. It is made up of 50 states, 1 federal district, and 5 territories. The list goes as followed:

The Contiguous United States borders Canada to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Mexico to the south, and the Pacific to the west.

Transportation[]
The main thoroughfare through the United States is the Interstate Highway System and the United States Numbered Highway System. Other ways of transportation include by airplane and by bike. In coastal areas near the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico, people use boats to travel. Trains and other locomotives are used in railroad tracks. Driving side in the U.S. is right. The exception for this is the U.S. Virgin Islands. Lane numbering goes from left to right. The lane closest to the left means fast lane.
