U.S. Route 88 or U.S. Highway 88 (US 88) is an east–west intrastate United States Highway located entirely within the U.S. state of Georgia. It carries the hidden designation of State Route 600 (GA 600) for its whole length. US 88's western terminus is at Roopville at the intersection of US 27. US 88's eastern terminus is in Tybee Island at US 80 / GA 26 touching the Atlantic Ocean northeast of Savannah.
On the segment from downtown Macon to downtown Savannah, US 88 runs indifferently parallel with Interstate 16 (I-16, Jim Gillis Historic Savannah Parkway) and has six interchanges with it. It also runs parallel with US 80 north of I-16. It has only one child U.S. route, U.S. Route 188 (US 188), which is a north-south spur that runs from Alma, a fictional city of Escatoria to Wrens. US 88 passes through other cities of Newnan, Griffin, Jeffersonville, Dublin, Swainsboro, Claxton, and Pembroke.
