US 10

U.S. Route 10 or U.S. Highway 10 (US 10) is an east–west United States highway located in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions. It was built in 1926. Even though it is one of the oldest U.S. highways and it is one of the major U.S. Highways, it never became the cross-country highway suggested by the "0" as the last digit of its route number, US 10 was one of the original long-haul highways, running from Detroit, Michigan, to Seattle, Washington, but then losing much of its length when new Interstate Highways were built on top of its right-of-way, with Interstate 94 (I-94) replacing much of its western portion and Interstate 75 (I-75) of its eastern portion. In 2010, its length was 565 miles (909 km). The eastern terminus of US 10 is in Bay City, Michigan, at its interchange with Interstate 75 (I-75) near US 10's milepost 139 and I-75's milepost 162. The western terminus of US 10 is in the town of West Fargo, North Dakota, at its interchange with I-94.

US 10 used to be broken into two segments by Lake Michigan. In 2015, the ferry SS Badger between Ludington, Michigan, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, was officially designated as part of the highway. The ferry operates only between May and October.

In the episode "The US 10 Badger" in Intertropolis & Routeville, characters Interstate 48, U.S. Route 86, with U.S. Route 10 takes a vacation on Lake Michigan by taking a ferry ride on a ship called The US 10 Ferry starting at the coast of Manitowoc and ending at the coast of Ludington. When US 10 starts telling a story to I-48 and US 86 about imagining if the US 10 highway had a bridge that takes car traveling fellows across Lake Michigan, US 86 told US 10 there might be a bridge that does the same thing. I-48 convinces US 10 to never give up hope. When they finally arrived at the coast of Ludington, they finally saw the bridge and one of the strangers who is M-125 told them that it is called the S.S. Ferry Bridge.

In the episode "The Ferry Bridge", M-125 gives US 10 with I-48 and US 86 a ride on the S.S. Ferry Bridge over Lake Michigan from Ludington, Michigan back to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. They all thank M-125 for the ride on the bridge and M-125 will try to keep in touch with them. At the end of the episode, US 10 with I-48 and US 86 arrived back to Highway City at the Highway City International Airport, with all their friends waiting for them and reuniting.
