"The Main Highways" is the 3rd episode of Season 1 and the 3rd episode of Intertropolis & Routeville. It aired on January 6, 2021.
Plot[]
I-48 stays in Intertropolis to meet the Main Interstate Highways while US 86 goes to Routeville to meet the Main U.S. Highways.
Synopsis[]
Interstate 48 and U.S. Route 86 are at home setting up by putting their furniture and other stuff in a perfect spot in their new home. When Interstate 28 comes in, he said they need to go to the Highway City Housing Department to claim their house in order to become legal residents of Highway City. There are two housing departments in downtown areas, one in Intertropolis for the Interstates, and another one in Routeville for the U.S. Routes.
When each housing departments are in different places, I-48 decided to take her old car to Downtown Intertropolis and US 86 decided to ask I-28 to drive him to Downtown Routeville. But I-28 does not like the U.S. Route side of Highway City, or the state of Utah, or driving people places. So US 86 have to take the taxi cab, which he do not like, taking public transportation. I-28 suggests him to take a bus, but he don't like busses either. I-28, exasperated of US 86's excuses and complaints, tells him to get in his Jeep.
In the Highway City Housing Department of Intertropolis, I-48 became a legal resident of Highway City. Then she meet Interstate 100, who is the leader of the group of Interstate Shields called the Main Interstate Highways. Thinking that I-48 is new in Intertropolis and needs new friends, I-100 gives her the address (25 West Kimberly Street).
In the Highway City Housing Department of Routeville, US 86 became a legal resident of Highway City. Then he meet U.S. Route 100, who is the leader of the group of U.S. Route Shields called the Main U.S. Highways. Thinking that US 86 is new in Routeville and needs new friends, US 100 gives him the address (75 East Jordan Street).
In Downtown Intertropolis, I-48 is at the Main Highway Lounge of Intertropolis. She knocks on the door and I-100 opens it and let I-48 in. He introduce her to the Main Interstate Highways. Then the Main Interstates introduce themselves to I-48. There are 23 of them and each of them have different personalities and traits.

In Downtown Routeville, US 86 is at the Main Highway Lounge of Routeville. He knocks on the door and US 100 opens it and let US 86 in. He introduces him to the Main U.S. Highways. Then the Main U.S. Routes introduce themselves to US 86. There are 23 of them and each of them also have different personalities and traits.

- U.S. Route 81 – the roadgeek and fourth wall breaker
- U.S. Route 90 – the actress and Hollywood dreamer
- U.S. Route 91 – the beauty pageant and mean one
- U.S. Route 100 – the leader
- U.S. Route 101 – the chef and baker
I-48 arrives back home. Then US 86 returns. Angry at US 86 for driving him too many places, I-28 charge him $225 for the gas in his Jeep as the fuel tank is almost empty. Concerned about I-28's anger and pity, knowing he has been angry at them since they first moved to Highway City, I-48 and US 86 suggests him with laughter to try going to anger management class. Finally happy about making new friends, I-48 and US 86 gets in the house and celebrate with heavenly satisfaction and joy of well-being.
