Interstate 475 (I-475), also known as the Sawgrass Expressway and unsigned State Road 869(FL 869) is a 24-mile-long (39 km) auxiliary Interstate highway located in western and northern Broward County, it is a six-lane, limited-access, all-electronic toll road. The expressway opened in 1986 and was added to Florida's Turnpike Enterprise in 1990. this Highway acts as a de facto bypass of Fort Lauderdale as well as the northern coastal and southern parts of the county extending north from a junction of Interstate 75 (SR 93), Interstate 595 (SR 862) in Sunrise to Coral Springs where it heads eastward towards Florida's Turnpike and terminating at Interstate 95 in Deerfield Beach.
I-475 was Built in 1986 as SR 869 Twenty Five Years Later in 2011 The FLDOT Announced they changed it to I-475.
