Interstate 47 (I-47) is a north–south intrastateInterstate Highway located entirely in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. It runs approximately 247.20 miles (397.82 km) and mostly parallels U.S. Route 31 (US 31) on the eastern shores of Lake Michigan. Its southern terminus is at Interstate 94 (I-94) in Kalamazoo. Its northern terminus is at Interstate 75 (I-75) near Vanderbilt. I-47 also serves the city of Grand Rapids, and nearly goes to Muskegon.
