Route description[]

Interstate 123 begins at a stoplight interchange at South Bluff Street (UT 18) south of downtown St. George. I-123 travels in the southwestward direction to the westward direction. At 5 miles (8 km) from downtown, I-123 turns to the northward direction as it heads to Santa Clara. As the highway approaches in Santa Clara, it then has an interchange with UT 8 (Sunset Boulevard), former US 91. I-123 turns right to the eastward direction and serves as a city line route between Santa Clara and Ivins. I-123 interchanges with UT 300 (Snow Canyon Parkway) and in about 1.2 miles (2.0 km), it once again interchanges UT 18 (North Bluff Street). As I-123 continues in northern St. George, it has a cloverleaf interchange with its parent highway, I-23, which gives direct access north to Routeville, Highway City. After a few miles from the I-23 interchange, I-123 turns to the southward direction as it heads to Washington, where it ends at an interchange with I-15.
