"Houses & Condos" is the 2nd episode of Season 1 and the 2nd episode of Intertropolis & Routeville. It aired on January 5, 2021.

Plot[]

I-48 and US 86 travel through Highway City to find a place they can stay. But I-48 wants to live in a condo while US 86 wants to live in an apartment.

Synopsis[]

Now staying in the welcome center in Downtown Intertropolis, Interstate 48 and U.S. Route 86 searches for a home to rent and stay in. But a lot of houses in Highway City seem to be very expensive. So they search for the cheapest homes. The choices get even harder when I-48 and US 86 want to stay in different types of residential homes. I-48 wants to live in a condo and US 86 wants to live in an apartment. US 86 knows that condos are extremely expensive and I-48 thinks that apartments are too much for them and they had never lived in a house. To settle this conflict down, I-48 and US 86 leave the welcome center and hop into their old car and travel through Highway City to find a perfect home for the two of them.

First, they search for the homes in Downtown Intertropolis, where most homes are apartment buildings and hotels. They drive east on Utava Street, a divided highway carrying U.S. Routes 47 and 86 at the Utah and Nevada border, taking them out from Intertropolis and in to Routeville. They drive north to Downtown Routeville. Here, all the hotels are abandoned and some turned into business centers. There are motels in Routeville, which I-48 and US 86 thought motels are gross and worse than hotels.

After traveling to search for homes in downtown areas, they search for homes in neighborhood communities such as the communities in...

  • North Routeville (Roadentia, Parisland, Cluckland, Verigopa, Samberson, Lucaville, Dovacoden, and Inadison)
  • South Routeville (Quinnstown, Hyperason, Yiberlane, Londonville, Kimberlia, Garitopia, Willowest, Norotomy, Quiettown, Timberlake City, Eisenhower Park, and Boguslane)
  • South Intertropolis (Marsburg, Hessington, Jordantio, Saint Perry's, Eyesonton, Xyloburg, Tamptoria, Zerotopia, Coffinsville, Negoland, Primewood, and Shortentown)
  • and North Intertropolis (Generation Square, Funterwood, Chorcelona, Wishington, Enchantica, Obercover, Usertown, Amberson, Maxonville, and Venusburg).

After searching for homes in all the neighborhood communities in Intertropolis and Routeville, I-48 and US 86 accidentally ran over Interstate 28, a state-licensed real estate agent. Angry at them with pain and frustration, I-28 wants to sue I-48 and US 86 for nearly killing him. But I-48 begs him not to do it and tells him that she and US 86 spent hours trying to search for a perfect home for them, cheaper and better.

Thirty minutes later, I-48 and US 86 drove and find a perfect house in southern Maxonville in North Intertropolis. I-28, still mad at them for running him over and broke his left leg and made his right leg numb, rented I-48 and US 86 a house at a cost of $100 and will charge them that price with a bill for this month. Next month, and onward, when hopefully his legs get better, I-28 will lower the price and charge them a bill of $50.
