Florida State Road 125

Florida State Road 125 is an West-South Florida Highway which connects Clearwater to Tampa. It has its own streets called Main Boulevard in Clearwater and Kenya Street in Tampa. Florida State Road 125 takes place in Hillsborough and Pinellas County. Florida State Road 125 is the main bypass in Clearwater. It is called "Clearwater Highway". It begins in N Myrtle Street (U.S. Route 19 ALT) in Downtown Clearwater, Florida to Tampa, Florida.

Florida State 125 was a former Florida State Highway but was remade in 2022.

Route Description

Clearwater

Florida State Road 125 begins in Downtown Clearwater, Florida as Aquaphobia Blvd. It gets renamed to Main Boulevard after the junction with N Highland Avenue. It moves east and runs alongside Florida State Road 590; Drew Street. After the intersection with U.S. Route 19, Florida State Road 125 changes its name to Park Plaza Blvd. After that, it turns into Kenya Street Causeway and it turns into Kenya Street in Tampa Bay, Florida

Tampa

Florida State Road 125 intersects with Florida State Road 580 as W Hillsborough Avenue. It diverges South to Tampa soon after. In Tampa, it intersects with Interstate 275 and it moves east towards Downtown as Main Tampa Avenue. In Downtown, It intersects with Florida State Road 685 and ends there.

Future

Florida State Road 125 will have a MASSIVE extension. In the future route, Florida State Road 125 will move further east towards Orlando, Florida. The previous routing won't be removed, but it will have a new signing. Florida State Road 125A. It will now become a full east-west highway. The new terminuses will be:

Western Terminus: U.S. Route 19 ALT: N Myrtle Avenue in Clearwater.

Eastern Terminus: CR 423: S John Young Parkway in Orlando.

It will also plan to have an expressway connecting Lakeland and Orlando.

This massive project (Name: Project 125) will be scheduled to be finished in December 2038.
